Omega 3 Health Benefits

Tofu Mayonnaise

Here is another version aside from Healthy Mayonnaise.  This is delicious and easy to make at home. It takes less than a minute, low in fats and calories, and is entirely free of cholesterol rich eggs.  The kind of protein that associates with flax oil.( for cancer patients only)....  non cancer patients can substitute extra virgin olive oil or virgin coconut oil for flax oil.

Ingredients.

6 ounces firm tofu
1-1/2 to 2 tbsp lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp flax oil
1/2 tsp celery or onion salt
dash of pepper

Procedure.

Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree for about 2 seconds.  Refrigerate in a covered container. 
This preparation will stay fresh for 2 to 3 days if place in the freezer to prevent flax oil from rancidity.
Makes 1 cup

 Christmas  is the time of the year where we gather around the big table to savor the delicious foods prepared for that particular occasion. Foods are lavishly decorated and seasoned with all the trimmings that no one could ignore. Simply put most foods served are laden with sugars and saturated fats that causes your blood pressure to rise. Saturated fats increases your LDL or low-density-lipoprotein, your bad cholesterol. Having a feast of this kind of food you are setting the stage for a heart attack or a stroke...This is to reason out that mostly a heart attack or stroke happened after indulging these foods...
..
But then there are alternatives to that.... you enjoy the same taste but without the guilt....because 
saturated fats can kill while highly unsaturated fats can heal.... Saturated fats are natural oils that are 
refined and heated to extend their shelf life. These commercially treated oils lose their ability to be soluble...they become solid and hardened in the blood that circulation becomes a problem  Saturated fats 
or hydrogenated oils causes tumor to form while highly unsaturated fats or the natural cold pressed oils 
like flax causes tumor to dissolve. Natural fat enables the living body to mobilize and activate fat again to 
make it   soluble.  

When I was stricken with a stage two skin cancer in 2001, I drastically change my eating habits avoiding all fatty foods. And so I made an alternative to that delicious additives to make my food palatable without affecting the taste and at the same time dissolving my tumorous growth... For cancer patients up to 8 tbsp of flax can be used to dissolve the tumor but for maintenance of good health even 1 tbsp can mean a healthy longer life. In order for flax  to be assimilated to the body a natural protein like cottage cheese, yogurt and skimmed milk are needed. Flax oil is a good source of essential fatty acid.
 
  Ingredients
1 cup cottage cheese
2 tbsp cold pressed  flax oil (for cancer patients)
   you can use extra virgin olive oil or virgin coconut oil
   juice of 2 lemons
1 tbsp of fruit juice concentrate

Procedure

Combine lemon juice, fruit juice concentrate and cottage cheese in a blender.
Add flax oil slowly while mixture is turning..


Tasty Potato Salad Express

            Ingredients: 

         2 kilos  Fresh Baby Potatoes
         4 eggs (hard boiled)
        1/2 cup onions (chopped)
        1/4 cup sweet pickles (chopped)
        1 1/2 cup healthy mayonnaise
        1 sachet stevia powder in place of sugar ( 1 sachet of stevia is equivalent to 1 tbsp sugar)
        1 Tbsp mustard
        1/2 Tbsp sweet pickle juice
        1/4 cup radishes (chopped)
        1/4 cup olives (chopped)
        salt and pepper to taste
         Preparation: 
  • In a saucepan, boil eggs in water for 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile,  boil 2 kilos fresh baby potatoes. When completed, take out from the pan and set aside to cool..
  • Chop onions, sweet pickles, radishes and olives and place into large bowl. Chop potatoes and add to bowl. When eggs are done boiling, place under cold running water to cool down. Shell and chop eggs then place into large bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together healthy mayonnaise, stevia powder in place of sugar, mustard, and pickle juice.
  • Gently fold into large bowl with potato mixture and blend thoroughly. Salt and Pepper to taste. Serve.

Fresh juices from fruits and veggies







                                        

Fresh fruits and vegetable juices or powdered juice drinks is a great antidote to our modern diet of high protein/high acid ash diet.  Meat , fish, poultry,, eggs, refined and processed foods, sugars and their products are highly acid forming.  While cottage cheese, non-fat plain and unsweetened yogurt, soymilk, fruits and vegetables are alkaline forming foods.  Nuts, seeds and beans are mildly acidic food.  Eating highly alkaline and mildly acidic food will balance an over- acid or over-alkaline system....

Fresh Apple-Celery Juice with Ginger and Parsley

   
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
     Ingredients
  1. 2 celery ribs, cut into 3-inch lengths  
  2. 1 Granny Smith apple—halved, cored and cut into large chunks
  3. One 2-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
  4. 1/2 medium bunch of parsley with stems
  5. 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 
    Procedure
  1. In an electric juicer, juice the celery with the apple, ginger and parsley. 
  2. Stir in the lemon juice.
    Notes One Serving 35 cal, 7 gm carb, 1 gm fat, 0.1 gm sat fat, 2 gm protein, 3 gm fiber.

Chocolate-Peanut Butter Smoothie







       2 servings
       Let the high-protein version sit for a bit, then spoon it up like chocolate mousse.
      To reduce the fat in this   shake, drain the oil from the top of the jar of peanut butter
      and do not stir before using. Adding soy powder boosts the protein to 23 grams.
  • 1 cup chocolate soy milk, chilled
  • 1 small banana, sliced and frozen
  • 2 Tbs. smooth natural peanut butter
  • ½ cup crushed ice (optional)
  1. In blender, combine soy milk, banana and peanut butter. Blend until smooth and creamy. 
  2. With blender running, add ice if using and blend until almost smooth. Serve right away.

This is what we enjoy for breakfast almost every day; a protein, fruit and nutrition-packed smoothie. Smoothies are creamy, taste delicious and are easy to make in a high-speed blender. Customize it for your taste and dietary preferences. If you want to make the homemade almond milk, start by soaking the almonds a day ahead. Follow the link above for my recipe. Servings: 1 (about 2 1/2 cups or 600 ml)

       Ingredients
  • 10-12 ounces (300-350 ml) of homemade almond milk (recipe here), or soy, rice, oat, cow or other milk
  • 1 scoop protein powder (we use Jay Rob vanilla whey for 25 grams of protein per scoop)
  • 1 small banana
  • 1/2  cup (62 grams) of frozen berries
  • 2 tablespoons (10 grams) of fiber (optional, I use the generic Target brand Up & Up)
  • 1 teaspoon of omega 3 oil (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (3 grams) of acai powder (optional)
    Directions
  1. Blend together at high speed in a blender and enjoy right away. If it’s too thick, add a little more almond milk

Summer Fruits Cooler

 

 

 

Take your super antioxidants with fresh fruits like berries and juices....These provides you with powerful protection to counter act the production of free radicals inside the body.

Ingredients

  • 1 12-ounce can cold pineapple juice concentrate
  • 1 6-ounce can cold limeade concentrate
  • 4 cups cold water * 1 liter club soda, chilled
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh strawberries (optional)

Directions

In a large pitcher combine pineapple juice concentrate, limeade, and water.
Chill for at least 30 minutes. Add club soda, ice cubes, and fresh strawberries.
To serve, transfer fruit juice mixture to glasses; .
To decorate,  add assorted fruits on a skewer such as halved orange slices, halved lime slices, orange sections, raspberries, strawberries, sliced kiwifruit, and mint sprigs
Makes 14 (6-ounce) servings.

Peach Smoothie







Peach Smoothie  is best serve with Avocado Salad on whole grain bread....It is complete in nutrients that nourishes  the billions of cells in our body...

Ingredients

2 cups fresh orange juice
1 cup peach  yogurt 
2 cups cold sliced peaches 
2 tablespoons raw unfiltered honey or 1 sachet stevia powder 
1 teaspoon nutmeg 

Direction

Blend all the ingredients until smooth.. Serve

Avocado Salad with Chive Spread









 Ingredients:
Chive Spread
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
Avocado Salad
  • 1 avocado, peeled, pitted and diced
  • 1 tomato, cored and chopped
  • 1 cucumber, peeled, seeded and diced
  • Squeeze of lime juice
  •  2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil or cilantro
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 slices whole grain bread or 4 small mulitgrain tortillas
  • 1/4 cup alfalfa sprouts
  • 2 to 4 slices lite pepper jack cheese
In a small bowl, mix the Greek yogurt and chives. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, gently toss together the avocado, tomato, cucumber, lime juice and basil or cilantro. Season with salt and pepper, and set aside.
Spread the chive-yogurt mixture on all four bread slices. Divide the sprouts between two slices of bread, and top with avocado salad and cheese. Cover with the remaining slices of bread. (If using tortillas, spread the chive-yogurt mixture on the tortillas, and top with cheese, avocado salad and sprouts. Roll, and eat.) Makes 2 large sandwiches or 4 small wraps.

Pistachio-Honey Cake with Berries and Cream

Ingredients 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup cornmeal 1/4 cup pistachio nuts, ground 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup butter, softened 3/4 cup honey 2 eggs 1/2 cup milk 2 tablespoons orange juice 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese, chilled or cream cheese, softened 1 cup whipping cream, chilled 2 tablespoons honey 1 pint strawberries, halve large berries and slice Chopped pistachio nuts Directions 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Butter a 9x1 1/2-inch round cake pan. Line the bottom of the pan with parchment; set aside. 2. In a medium bowl combine flour, cornmeal, ground pistachios, baking powder, and salt; set aside. 3. In a large mixing bowl beat butter with mixer on medium to high for 30 seconds. Add 1/2 cup of the honey; beat 3 minutes, until fluffy. Slowly beat in eggs, one at a time. Add three-fourths of the flour mixture; mix just until combined. Mix in milk and remaining flour just until combined. Pour batter into prepared pan. 4. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, just until a wooden toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes. Remove cake from pan. 5. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan heat remaining 1/4 cup honey and the orange juice, whisking to combine. Poke warm cake with a wooden toothpick. Brush on honey-orange juice until absorbed. Cool cake completely. 6. For topping, just before serving, in a medium mixing bowl whip mascarpone on medium to high for 30 seconds. Add cream and 2 Tbsp. honey. Beat just to soft mounds. Spoon topping on cake, drizzle with additional honey, then top with strawberries and chopped pistachios. Fresh Melon Quenchers


 Ingredients 1 - 1 1/2 cups cantaloupe, honeydew, or watermelon puree* (about a quarter of a 4 lb. melon) 3 ice cubes 1/4 inch slice fresh ginger, grated Plain low-fat yogurt 1 - 2 teaspoons honey Shredded lime peel (optional) Plain or flavored sparkling water Directions 1. In blender container combine melon puree, ice cubes, ginger, a teaspoon or two of yogurt, and honey. Blend just until mixture is frothy and smooth. Pour into serving glass. Add additional honey to adjust sweetness. Stir in lime peel to taste. Add sparkling water to fill glass. To Puree Melon:: 2. Coarsely chop melon and transfer to blender container. Cover and blend until smooth. If needed, stop motor and press fruit down into blades with rubber spatula or spoon and continue to blend until smooth. Serve immediately...

Healing Naturally

“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”  Genesis 2:7
God, the Greatest Provider of Life and Divine Healer, designed the human body for wellness not for sickness.
When you buy a car, you are provided by the manufacturer and designer an owner’s manual with the instruction in care and maintenance. Your automobile will operate at maximum efficiency and also last longer if you use the proper lubricants and fuel specified.

God has also provided us a ‘body owner’s manual’ for maintaining health and restoring the sick. All these miraculous facts are found in the Bible and in Nature. In the Bible, beginning with Genesis 1:29, 9:3 and 9:4 could be considered the sustenance manual from our designer and manufacturer.

1:29 “And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.”

9:3 “Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.”

9:4 “But flesh with life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.”

So the story of creation in the Bible says that fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, and grains are foods divinely intended for humankind. And this is God’s plan. The personalities from the Old Testament like Methuselah, Abraham and Noah lived to almost 1000 years sustained by Mother Nature’s abundance prescribed and provided by our Creator. But when animal flesh were eaten by our biblical ancestors, the life expectancy were shortened, until the era of human civilization, where modern industrial inventions were attained, the health of our people declined.

Today more and more people are afflicted with a long list of diseases and illness, and many others succumb to an early, unnatural death.

I know of a friend who was underweight, pale, and weak with kinky hair. Tension lines and fatigue was on her face.      Here I ordered fresh guyabano fruit or graviola,  skimmed milk sweetened with raw
     unfiltered honey. and I  requested bee pollen granules  will be added to the smoothie.... 
     ahhh cool.... superior taste..  try it...

 This is taken as a meal replacement formula complete in vital nutrients needed to support
  the immune system, increase energy level, repair and maintain all organs, glands and 
  tissues of the body..
 ngredients:  1 cup cold unsweetened soy milk
                     1 cup seedless sweet grapes or any fruit of your choice
                     1 or 2 tbsps cold press flax oil , optional but a must for cancer patients
                    1 tbsp bee pollen granules
                    raw unfiltered honey to taste
                    (For diabetic patient omit fresh
                     fruit and honey instead use stevia
                    as sweetener. 
         
Procedure :  Liquefy all ingredients in a blender to make a smoothie
                    Drink two times daily in an empty stomach.
                  

KIMCHEE,


I know you are familiar with KIMCHEE, the spicy fermented Korean/Chinese/Japanese cabbage pickle, sold in glass jars in the refrigerated section of your grocery store. My older son Jojo makes an appetizing Kimchee. Here is his garlic-infused version. (Not to be eaten in cancer patients during treatment period because it is salty.)

Ingredients:    3 lbs. Chinese cabbage
                     2 tbsp. table salt
                     4 cloves garlic, minced
                     1 tbsp ginger root, peeled and grated
                     2 tsp red pepper flakes or Kimchee powder
                     2 tsp raw honey

Procedure:    Trim off any dry or rough leaves from the cabbage.
                     Remove the core. Cut cabbage leaves into pieces
                     roughly 1-1/2 by 1- 1/2. Wash cabbage and dry it
                     thoroughly. Mix cabbage with salt, tossing until salt
                     melts 5 to 10 minutes. Let cabbage mixture drain in
                     a colander over the sink for approximately 4 hours.
                     Squeeze cabbage to remove excess  liquid. Toss
                     cabbage with remaining ingredients. Place cabbage
                     mixture into 2 sterile quart  canning glass jars. Place
                     the lid on the jars loosely to allow gas to escape
                     during fermentation period.  Let the jar stand at
                      room temperature for 3 to 4 days.  It will gain
                      strength as it stands. If you prefer  a  milder flavor,
                      taste after 2 days. When the flavor is to your taste,
                      tighten the lid and place it in the refrigerator.
                      Refrigerated  Kimchee will continue to strengthen
                      as it stands.
